what's the difference, aside from price and 50cc?

looking for a street legal dual sport out here in CA that (with sprockets and extra rims) can be street enough for twisties, dirty enough for desert/trails, and cool enough for supermoto track days (similar to a go-kart track).

the DR350 is older tech, heavier, shorter, more forgiving, like a couch, but air cooled/simple! and comes with a 6 speed!....the 400 has more power, more MX-like suspension, wider power delivery, and feels much more modern compared to the DR
