    Recessed wheel chocks

Just got a new trailer and want to get it set up. I have HF wheel chocks that work fine, but they're a pain to take in and out because I use my trailer for other things than motorcycles. I saw some recessed ones online. Anyone used these before?

I also have the HF chocks. Instead of bolting them to the trailer deck, use clevis pins, some jumbo washers, and R-clip cotter pins. Takes maybe 45 seconds to install/remove the chock.

Do you have a picture or seven of how you have yours attached?

I have a HF chock that goes in and out of my trailer as needed for bikes other than the race bike (uses a Pitbull). I drilled holes and used 3/8" threaded T-nuts and have matching Eyebolts with a Nylock 'set' nut quick and easy install and removal.

    Re: Recessed wheel chocks

The recessed work fine; won't hold the bike up like a clamping chock tho and you can only install them between flooring supports (might limit your location options). And of course: no flexibility because they can't move (longer bike, weight distribution, etc...).

They do have a chock which quick-attaches into airline track if you want something a bit more flexible and give you floor tie-down options for other uses. LINK

    Re: Recessed wheel chocks

I have a Condor Pit Stop/Trailer Stop chock on my HF trailer. When not using the trailer I need to fold it up and put it in the back of the garage, so removing the chock easily is important.

Condor makes a small, low-profile bracket for the chock that you screw to the trailer floor. The chock then plugs into keyhole slots, and is held there by a thumbscrew. Super-easy to remove, takes just a few seconds, no loose parts.

The Condor chock itself is really, really good. More adjustable than most and rock-solid.

I use these, only leaves a small mounting bracket when they're not in there.

    From top down:
3/8" diameter clevis pin, 3/8" ID washer, (chock, trailer deck), 3/8" or 1/2" ID jumbo washer, R-clip.

Set the chock over the holes in the trailer, drop the pins with the top washers through. Crawl underneath and put on the bottom washers and insert the R-clips. Use the clevis pin hole that's closest to the deck, don't worry if he chock isn't snugged down tight like as if you were bolting it, the weight of the bike strapped down will prevent it from moving. Just use some pretty heavy duty R-clips, because when you're pulling the bike out of the chock, the clips and bottom washer will be holding the chock against the bottom of the deck.
