    Question Registration Costs

Trying tp guestimate what it is going to cost me to register my bike in NH. I have a '04 Yamaha Warrior. Anyone have a rough idea on how they calculate the cost of registration. I am thinking somewhere around $185 with vanity plate. What do you guys think?

Its probably going to cost you more than that. I just registered my Ducati from July through February and it cost me about $270, and thats only for 8 months. The town fee is what jacks the price up. I have a vanity plate myself, so I can tell you that its going to be a total of $30 extra. The cost completely depends on the year, make, model, and list price of the vehicle.

Also remember incase you've never registered for vanity plates, you have to register with the town you live in (City Hall), then you must go to the State DMV offices at either Milford, Concord, or, in your case, Manchester to pay the state fees and apply for the initial plate (vanity plate).

NH has a great search page to find out if anyone already has the initial plate that you want. http://199.192.9.86/platecheck/search.asp

EDIT: Also remember that with NH IMOTO initial plates, you must have at least 2 letters and can only be up to 5 characters.

By the way, good luck in those lines at Manch City Hall and DMV. I went with a friend once to register a vanity plate and that was enough to keep me from moving to Manchester

Registration alone was 161.00, Gotta go to the DMV for the plate. So I'll be looking around 230.00. What stinks about the whole deal is that we only get in about 7-8months of riding before we do it all over again.

Yes, but atleast you can re-register by mail. No lines to deal with.
