    Reminder......It's cold out.

I have yet expeienced any slipping from the rear Avon's on the Hawk. As I entered the on ramp in Medford right by the Police station I rolled on the throttle pretty hard and cranked in a little more lean. Yea, the cranking a little more lean just set the rear off. It was a nice controlled step out. No panicking just rolled back on the throttle a touch and she came back in. Then I got back on her.....

Yea the temp only got into the mid 40's yesterday and this was only 2 min from work. Cold rubber baby, cold rubber.

Play it safe take it easy out there.......

The Duc still has the Battery in it but I haven't ridden it in a couple weeks.

This is enough for me to take the battery out.

    Re: Reminder......It's cold out.

Yesterday was the first morning I had frost on the bike when I started it up and it was pretty chilly too and from work.

Today is the first sunny day I haven't riden to work. It feels like Winter has finally caught up with us.

Yeah I rode today and the thermometer on the porch read 33 degrees at 7am.

I could feel some sketchiness in my rear tire today too.

Yep it's cold. I got bounced out of the seat last week when the rear broke loose. Came around a corner, cut a right onto another road and as soon as I hit the transition between roads I got an ever so slight wheelspin and lots of complaining from the rear suspension. Hopefully the single oncoming car enjoyed the show as much as I did.

    Re: Reminder......It's cold out.

I haven't ridden that much at all lately. I decided to ride last night and into work this morning. Chilly for sure, but nice. I do kind of enjoy cold riding.

Cold tires aren't super fun though

My friend Baggy22 and I ride to Bike night in winooski every tuesday. It takes us an hour to get there from johnson and when we went last night we were decked out in gear like snow pants. We rode the hour home at 27 degrees. Thankfully (knock on wood) we haven't had any issues, but we can probibly only do bike night for the next couple of weeks.

P.S. I'm not crazy for riding an hour, we get FREE soda. he he he

22f leaving the house this morning - heated gear had me comfortable, but yes, some 'whee' moments tire-wise

I always wonder how you can get on it so hard comming up the traffic circle on the far side of Donnie's without any wheel spin. I feel very uneasy in that circle, i've had the tire slip comming into the circle by the pd and the post office before when transitioning into the concrete.

If i get on my 600 hard enough i'll break free about 12k. Or a lil rev to 4 k and pop the clutch and i'll do a nice rollon burnout.

I highly suggest Klim gear. I just got this 2 weeks ago and have no idea how I got around w/out it. The little extra flap in the front and back helps keep the cold air off the body when it sneaks past the zipper.
49.99 + 2.50 for shipping. Very friendly people but had some shipping issues (they sent out the one w/out the bib). They corrected the issue with a next day delivery.

The WindStopper Fabric WORKS. It is really thin and I thought no way. It now has my full support. Nothing gets by this stuff.

The neck has some elastic cords thing sewn in that maintain a tight fit around the neck. Not too tight that it cuts off circulation. Just right. Over time it should not loosen up or stretch out unlike many other turtle furs that I have used.

The head material is thin light yet durable. It keeps a tight fit on the head that allows the tight helmet to glide over nicely w/out altering the head socks position. The seal around the face is nice and tight and has been keeping my forehead to my ears draft free. I never knew that I had a draft on my ears until I put this on one morning and rode to work. Nothing was coming in around these areas. It was most enjoyable.

I thought the bibs would have been a little longer. It comes down to the mid chest.

    FREE HORSEPOWER

last nite I was at an evening meeting till about 9:30pm, I came out my seat was already covered in frost

front wheel didn't want to stay on the tarmac all the way home

drop your pressure a couple psi, the rubber will flex more and heat up better
