    Replacement title?

I'm buying a new bike, and the guy lost his title for it in the move from MA to VT. His dad is actually headed into Boston today to get the ball rolling on getting one re-issued. I'd rather not wade through the hell hole that is the MA DMV site, so any ideas on what it takes to get a new one, and how long it might take?
