Reviews on Mutual Enterprises in Springfield MA

Has anyone bought a bike from them? Is it a sound business? Are the prices good?

Never heard of them but if I was to start a business and I wanted it to sound as shady as shit, I would call it Mutual Enterprises.

We are in the "trash" business........and motorcycles.

Well the place itself looks very shady. I never see many people there, but they have a nice website and a lot of good looking bikes. I just didn't know if it was too good to be true or something.

I purchased a 2006 DL1000 from them; the price was "fair". They get bikes and wash them; thats it. So do not expect, although it's possible, the usual service items (chain, tires, oil, etc.) to be up to date. I do not have any negative things to say and they were fine to deal with. Their store front, assuming they are in the same location, is shady and I thought I might not return when I pulled into the lot. I left my wallet in my car...true story. :-)

A couple of guys that I work with bought bikes from that place. Nobody got screwed, AFAIK. They seem to prey on sellers, on the buying end - as in - they buy bikes for cash, at very low prices, from folks that are in a jam, then sell at, or slightly below blue book value. They also make money on trade-in's. Overall, the guys I work with were happy with their deals.
There are probably better deals to be found, but if you want (need) a sport bike fast - they usually have a large selection of sport machines - just don't expect to get a screaming deal.
