The start of a new trend???

I just read, this morning on Roadracingworld.com that Ducati is planning on producing a limited edition replica of the Desmoedici. Looks like it will have the same type of engine and chassis configuration, tuned down of course. Cool stuff

I'm hoping to see a Yamaha M1 replica.

Keep in mind though that Ducati is giving all Ducati 999R owners first shot at the Dici, not that there are a whole lot of them around( I'm not sure of the production #'s of the 999R). Who in their right mind would want to own 2 motorcycles who's combined MSRP is just shy of $100,000?

Apparentely there is a market for ultra high $$$$ motorcycles. Too bad the people that buy them will probably never really ever ride them as intended.
