What do you take with you when you ride?

My cell, a phone charger, 2 credit cards, DL, insurance info... That's it. Maybe cash (if I think about it).

Expanded a bit since with jumper cables and 12mm hex.

I've thought about jumper cables, then considered when would I use them ? what good would they do with a bad charging system? I can't think of any of my electrical failures that jumper cables woulda helped

Depending on the day, if im going out for a quick ride without the side luggage just my wallet and cell phone and papers along with my multi-tool and the stock tool kit. If I think Im going to be out for a while I throw this stuff in my givi's: a couple sets of ear plugs, my frog toggs, whatever visor im not using whether it be clear or my dark visor, my work ID badge, sometimes my lunch bag, an extra phone battery, and a drink of some sort

Nice, I'll be adding a few things thanks to this thread too. Patch kit and CO2 seem to come up a lot. OEM tool kit is also long gone so I'll have to reconstruct one. Toilet paper (well, a pack of tissues) comes with me everywhere anyway Might pass on the women 'cause then you have to add a hacksaw, and some lime, and saddlebags, and it gets to be a lot for a little CB-1.

Besides some of the items mentioned already I always bring a Mini mag-light. If you ever break down in the boonies at night you'll realize how dark it is out there. I guess most cell phones work at flashlights now too so maybe its overkill.

My jacket has nearly everything you guys have mentioned in it at all times. Gotta love 3/4 touring jackets.

Tools, spare copies of registrations, temptroller, visor spray, towel, custom fit ear plugs + spare foam ones for everyone else, neck warmer, cold weather gloves, chapstick, etc

Only thing I don't carry with me is a tire inflation device. Should probably get one of those soon.

Wallet (cash, CC's, etc.), phone, something to drink. That's about it. Everything else can be picked up as needed. It is important to let your loved ones know where you are going, and when to expect you back, or be heard from.

and that is only using one pannier and my tankbag... I still have an empty topcase and the other pannier to carry the doggie bags home from Chinese after Motorcycle Night....
