Felt like the last ride of the season... maybe?

I rode up to Killington VT with some friends this weekend and got rained on, sleet'd on, and snowed on It was still awesome, I had a blast But I nearly froze and really wished I'd worn the right riding pants (had on my AStars track pants, oops).

Vermont 100 is a fantastic road by the way. Anyone looking for a good route to see the foliage and enjoy the occasional twisties and sweepers, I give it a solid A.

Hey, I've had lunch there with other NESRians. Although it is a couple hours south of me.

We were VERY happy to find this place. We were heading towards Stowe when a crazy downpour caught us. Luckily this was the first coffee stop we came across.

Vermont is a fantastic state. What great friendly people you have up there (not to mention great twisty roads)

Thanks for the wonderful photos! Makes me miss VT, I haven't been up there in a while. VT 100, 73, 4, they are all GREAT.

Great pics. A group of us led by Not Sure hit the VT roads a few weeks ago... Sweet indeed!

    Did somebody say snow?

I've got to do that ride. Maybe next year when there is no chance of snow.

It's just perfect up there. Honestly, even with the freezing cold, pouring rain and sleet... it was fantastic. We had just enough good weather to break the monotony of the bad. Plus, the warm cafes and even warmer locals contrasted in a really nice way against the rugged nature of riding in bad weather. Somehow it really hit the spot. I'd still recommend going in early Fall or late Spring though

(p.s. Thanks for the comments on the pictures you guys)

Re: Felt like the last ride of the season... maybe?

Last ride of the season is still a long way off.

The weather this weekend was definitely not great, but we'll have plenty more dry weekends before the roads become slippery.

And by the way, 100 is definitely a good ride, but some of the roads that parallel it are better. Rt 12 all the way from Bethel to Morrisville is really nice, for example. And 100A between Plymouth and Bridgewater is great.

There are great motorcycle roads all over this state. I love living here.

Well I definitely like the sound of that. (making note of your road suggestions)

Yeah, I've been looking at houses here in the Boston area, but I'd much rather be looking in Vermont. What great quality of life!!!

what camera is that? The pics look like really good quality. I'm assuming a gopro because of the fishbowl look. My gopro's even in HD aren't that sharp looking. Its most likely due to the fact they are the previous models.

    First two shots are a 5D with a 24-105 F4.

The second two shots are the GoPro 3+ Black

The third shot is a Nikon AW1

The fourth shot is a Galaxy Note 4

...yeah, I have a lot of cameras
