I always seem to get those cold, rainy weekends... Maybe I shouldn't schedule myself for April and october anymore?

The way it works is: it's either bitterly cold and rainy or spitting snow, or it's freakin' hot and steamy with a brutal sun giving you a beat-down, or it's so damn perfect out that you are insanely jealous of all the bikes riding by while you stand in a parking lot. Despite that, it's still a blast and by the end of the weekend, you remember exactly why standing in the cold wet steamy heat is so worth it.

I'll take being jealous of the "ride bys" over the alternatives anyday

If I'm not riding, shorts, short sleeves, comfortable hat. I can teach just as well dressed this way.

I always dress like I am going to ride...just in case I run into unforeseen circumstances where I would have to.

If you're not doing the demos I've always thought that you can wear whatever.

But even if I've worked it out with whoever I'm coaching with that they'll be doing all the demos, I usually wear long pants and maybe a long sleeve shirt anyway... or at the very least, have all my riding stuff with me in the car.

Must be a Vermont thing. We always have to be dressed to do the demos. (or like the students)

We do too. But if you are the PI then you do not have to do the demos and therefore do not have to dress to ride.

    Re: RidersCoach Program

When I taught in NH, we were supposed to swap walking & talking every break, so both RCs had to dress to ride. I liked it because it split up the cone kicking, and let both RCs get to know the group a bit better and ride every day. They also did not want you showing up in a car to teach a motorcycle course.

    Re: RidersCoach Program

I have been in contact with Joe from Ironstone Ventures to become a range aid. It sounds promising so far, but we have not had a chance to meet yet as I am in Iraq until this Saturday, I will start my journey home then. (2-3 days)

I REALLY hope this works out, I REALLY want to do this....Wouldn't you know he sends me an email on the day I got here......Just my luck!

I explained I am here for a short time (2 weeks) and would contact him as soon as I get back in town. We live in the same town so it is a really good opportunity for me.

I hope he can hold out and this don't ruin my chances to get my foot in the door. I have been waiting all winter for this to happen.

    Wish Me Luck!!!!

Good luck bro! I have been sending out emails and what not trying to get involved locally as well and it's quite difficult. I'm surprised how hard it is to get involved when offering to volunteer your time. I am hoping to start as a range aid for a year and I'm having difficulty getting anyone to call me back.
