Must Do Rides in the Northeast U.S and Canada

Thumbs up Must Do Rides in the Northeast U.S and Canada

I have put together a web page of the Must Do Rides in the Northeast U.S. and Canada. These are meant to be the rides that you would ride 100 miles out of your way to ride. I have tried to hit most States and Provinces. I have tried to only include those rides that can easily be completed in one day so no Gaspe Ride etc. I may include a couple more - I am thinking about it. I would greatly appreciated comments and suggestions.

Nice work. Thanks for putting that together. I would try to add Grafton Notch (even though it's in Maine) and Dixville Notch to the NH notches ride. Just remove the stretch of 2 between 113 and 16 and replace it with a big loop up ME/NH 26, down VT 102 and back to 16 via 110.

I love those roads. They are all on my Best Of list: http://www.newenglandriders.org/Best...HBestRoads.htm

I am actually considering adding a route for that region that also includes 145.

I only left 145 off because there's no notch...

Definitely got some good ones in there, but your Quebec - Charlevoix/Saguenay section left off the best road in that area: Rt 381 between La Baie and St Urbain. Awesome road -- lots of twists and elevation changes and utterly spectacular scenery. It's worth planning a weekend trip up to that area just to ride that road.

Also, in northern PA, Rt 414 heading west from Canton is really nice.

In the Catskills, Rt 30 between Roxbury and Rt 17 is a lot of fun.

I could go on for a long time but I have to get back to work.

Hi Mark. All of those roads are listed in our Best OF site: http://www.newenglandriders.org/Best...st%20Roads.htm

Hard to fit them all into one day rides!

Ha, ha. We should tell them to ride the Mass Pike to the end. Great riding there.
