We went riding in the snow yesterday!

Then we couldn't get home the way we got out to the woods, so we came home on the street. i almost put my knee down on the dirtbike!


Oh man am i jonesing to dig out the street bike now!!!

went for a li'l spin w/ some locals yesterday, coupla hundred miles up 'n' back the Columbia River Gorge. most awesome!

fired it up yesterday and rode around my garage in first gear. that count? considering there is six inchs of snow on the otherside of the garage door.

I sat on the racebike and made some noises and hung off a bit yesterday.

I didn't get on the bike, but I did take an EFI'd Arctic Cat 500 sled out on a lake this past weekend. Hit 87mph! Yee-friggin-haw!

Also maxed out a big 4x4 4wheeler out on the same snow+ice at 47mph. Those things sure ain't stable at speed!

what kind of wheeler were you riding? i have a 650 prairie v-twin 4x4 thats lifted and has oversized mud tires. its pretty stable at speed on hard pack snow/dirt. plus it cranks wheelies even at 600 plus pounds!

It was a Suzuki (or yammi? I don't remember) 500 single 4x4. King Quad maybe? Who knows. About 6 inches of loose powdery snow with slick ice underneith.

Actually, it anyone here goes to Mt.Wachusett from 140, we were on the lake almost across the street from the turn onto the road the mountain is on. It was awesome! We're goin again this weekend or one night this week. Best part? Neither of them are mine but I get to rip them fo' free!

Yup rode on the snow covered ice yesterday too. I guess you could say I was testing the traction limitations cause I low sided 5 or 6 times and one low speed highside. Its tough when the wheels are spinning freely in 6 inches of powder then you all of a sudden hit the ice below and actually get traction.
My inner thighs are sore from hanging a leg down in the corners but it was a good time.

Haven't been out on the street yet as I have a mile or so of gravel road that is mix of ice snow sand salt and muck , the street bike doesn't like that stuff very much.

I had a 300 mile day on stupidbowl sunday, including both directions on the kanc, I've only been out twice since for about 100 miles total, I rode quite a bit in January, over 1000 miles so far this year
