I had to watch it a few times and the first few I thought the car had done it on purpose but the more I look at it I think he may have just been trying to pass the car in front and simply didnt look in his mirrors and checked the bike right off the road.

Im not sure whos more to blame there. The dude on the bike was following way too close to begin with. Id say he got into the cars blind spot when he tried to pass so I dont think the car would have seen him. However the car should have known there was something behind him.

Yeah, but take a look again. Look how far back the red car is from the green car. He was quite a good distance away to pull out and try to pass the car. Looks to me as if the car did it on purpose, or the driver of the red car didn't know what the fuck, and pulled out to pass the green car a good 4 lengths before he needed.

You need to look again. There is a car right in front of the red car. It's hard to see because both the motorcycleist and the car in front of him are on each others asses.

the guy on the bike is just as much an idiot as the guy in the car, neither used a turn dignal to change lanes, the car could have easily checked his mirrors and not seen the bike initiating a pass

ehhhh looks pretty on purpose with the red car, if you watch the footage as the bike goes down there's a good amount of distance between the red car and what looks like a tan minivan in front of it. but I agree, there isnt really a wide enough view to really get an idea of what's completely going on.

Looks like they both went to pass at the same time..unfortunate incident, though; i doubt any malintent was there. The red car was trying to get around the car right in front of it.

Look again, there is a third car right in front of the red one. Hard to see, look before the pass.

I do think the red car was "racing" the bike prior though... came up on the green car real fast and hard on the brakes.

what I don't get is why the biker did not react quickly, seems like they panic froze.

ya, the red car was on someone's ass & flipped a blinker on just as he was moving over to pass... I don't think it was intentional.

he's still an asshat for not checking his mirrors before he moved over... he shoulda known there was a bike on his ass & checked prior to switching lanes.... but the biker isn't blame free either.

It actually looks like the car went back for a second hit as the bike was going down if you watch the cars actions as the bike goes down

there is a car in front of the red one. (look for shadow, hard to see because the red car is moving over blocking veiw of it) he DID use a blinker but it was the typical "turn on my blinker as im doing it" thing in staed of before he passed. the bike that didnt use a blinker is also to blame. maybe if he threw out the anchor he couldve avoided the hit

I don't get that close before I pass....well, unless its a stupid pass I shouldn't be attempting anyway.

I saw the red car pull out and almost hit the bike, then the biker went off the road in a panic, if you look closely you can see the red car start to pull out then the bike dude tries to avoid rather then brake hard and bites it. You have to look closely, watch the lower left and you can see the bike start to go off the road.

at the 22second mark... look to the right in front of the car on the inside of the turn. the red car is on someones ass. when the bike pulls out.. look at the ground and you will see a shadow of that vehicle
