    Re: Riding pants/ jeans

Honestly I barely give a fuck what I look like. But for me it's about comfort. Wiggling out of leathers works for me at a track day surrounded by other sweaty men (and a few women) in leathers. But not when rolling into work or headed to the hardware store for something.

Fair warning, click at your own risk, not pretty:

I have a closet-full that works for me too:
Two piece leathers (perforated jacket with thermal liner, lightly perforated pants) Teknic Xcelerator gauntlet gloves
Mesh jacket and kevlar jeans, Icon 29er gloves
Textile jacket and overpants, Power Trip insulated, waterproof gloves
    Sidi Cobra boots

When I commute to work (4 miles each way) I just wear regular jeans and sneakers plus a weather-appropriate jacket, gloves and helmet and I go home and change before going for a ride after work. Early spring/late fall, I add the overpants and boots and bring my sneakers to work.

If I am hanging out with friends and doing stuff off the bike, it's usually the kevlar jeans and Sidi boots plus weather-appropriate jacket, gloves and helmet

Spirited rides where most of the day is spent on the bike, I'll wear the full two-piece leathers.

What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.

For 98 bucks... i dont think i can go wrong with those AGV riding pants. They look good, and seem useful even off the bike. I would love a matching leather full suit...but funding cant handle the investment yet.

Leather jacket, full gloves, full boots, helmet of course. All my suits are two piece so if we go out to be completely stupid ill throw the pants on as well. Normal commute in jeans though.

Great video but I don't think anyone here is suggesting or even hinting at riding anywhere near that level with a pair of jeans on. The draggin jeans are for casual rides where you are riding to a destination and want to be dressed like a normal person, not a power ranger.

That video is a great example of why i dont wear a suit like that... i cant even begin to ride at that level.

    Re: Riding pants/ jeans

For short rides comfort on and off the bike I'm going to be buying these
    Icon SuperDuty
Violator Denim Jeans*these jeans have knee protection
I already have everything else in my list.
    Joe Rocket Phoenix Jacket
    Bell Revolver Helmet

    For Longer Rides
I wear my AGV pants and my Sidi Cobra boots along with my joe rocket jacket helmet and gloves.

I'm planning on buying more gear next season to start alternating that way all my gear lasts longer. I'm never going to be hitting the track anytime soon, and I'm never doing anything stupid on the street just makes sense to me.

I don't care what I look like, but I have thrown a hoody on in the past over my 1 piece on cooler days, and it looks like I'm just wearing leather pants.

I don't care about speed on the street, I care about protection. I'm not trying to drag knee on the street (and I don't understand why people do). I just want to make sure that if I ever go down again, my knees won't get scarred up because of a weak pair of jeans. I may look into those AGV pants.

    Re: Riding pants/ jeans

I wear shift riding jeans with Kevlar lining when commuting to work and I need to get some revit riding over pants or some leather.
