Re: Riding a (ridiculously) slow bike fast
I haven't ridden a Grom, but I have heard the suspension is pretty bad. I wouldn't say the Z125 suspension is great for off-roading, but it isn't terrible for light stuff. Just don't plan on riding over any logs or big rocks. I've had to pull my Z125 over logs a few times. Nice thing is you can practically just stand up and lift the whole thing over if you have too. :D

Last time I tried taking it out on a pretty easy unmaintained road (slightly rocky but pretty smooth) I could barely see my eyeballs were bouncing around so much. It's just not made for soaking up bumps like that, it's made for mostly smooth pavement.
The flip side is maybe the TrailWay 200, which eats up mushy trails. Not great on road, but when we ride it around Boston, everyone goes nuts for it.
