By the way if you guys want RIM TAPE, go here and send this guy a MSG, He can Custom do anything you, and he can make them Precurved for 17, 16 or what ever inch wheels, I got Yellow with the TL1000R and Suzuki stamped in mine and it was $16 shipped..

OK, I went the route Joe did on his Tiller.

The guy was really easy to work with, considering he has to cut the front for a 16" rim.

So, this means I have 4 strips of TapeWorks Fire Red tape if anyone wants it.

Man I thought you were talking about the functional rim tape that can be used to cover the nipples on a spoked rim to prevent flats when using a tubed tire.

On a serious note I learned that if you put a shop light by your side and shine it on the rim, it creats a thin line of light that goes around the edge of the rim. I used that as a guide to keep it straight. Also when you apply the rim stripe you have to pull on the striping a little bit so there's tension, and with your other free hand you rub the striping on the rim.


If you guys can't get it straight or dont have a patience let me know I'll do it.

They've been back in the bike since last Thu. I was "working from home", so I took them off and brought them into GMD. Peter was nice enough to lend me a front stand.

I guess it pays to live less than 3 miles from the shop.
