    RIP Queenie

Queenie was one of the first females to reach a million miles in North America. Ardys was killed today at age 81 doing exactly what she loved...riding. I had the pleasure to meet her several years ago and spend an afternoon having coffee and exchanging stories. She was an amazing woman.

Oh wow. Remember her from when I worked at Razees in the 80s. She was formerly from east providence.

    Re: RIP Queenie

As I'm dealing with my 85 year old father and nursing homes and care, etc.... I can't say that I read this story with sadness.

I look around some of the sad faces in these nursing homes and say, "NO WAY".

When I get close, if I'm able to do so, I'll be taking the bike out for one last session!

(don't worry, I'll make it the last session of the day so it doesn't cut into anyone's tracktime!)

    Re: RIP Queenie

I think when I get that close, 45 auto is my friend. A friends father died of cancer on Monday, last few weeks were pure agony for him. Since our illustrious politicians refuse to allow any kind of assisted suicide it narrows choices.
As to queenie, she died doing what she enjoyed, she went out happy. RIP
