WOW is all I can say. I rode the new R6 at Loudon yesterday.
The rags have been beating this horse about racebikes in street clothing blah blah. Only I've never found one that could get around the track with any grace in stock form...until now.
The bike is FINALLY ready to rip ontrack with virtually NO suspension upgrades. It feels plush, but doesn't misbehave at all. I felt able to push from my second lap on the bike. None of the usual wallowing over the bumps in T3, or rocking horse antics through the chicane. It's just composed. The potential seems VERY high.
It's just well balanced, well suspended, and the motor gets it done.
I didn't even notice the brakes, which is a good thing on the track, and the slipper clutch kept the back end quiet.
The motor was good, but a little gutless down low, the power really doesn't arrive until 12K, but then it goes good til redline. Just like my two-stroke!!! It has a powerband feel to it.
