So I buy this bike last year, and I want to go out and ride and meet new people, but my husband thinks cause i'm a girl it's dangerous to meet people off the internet let alone go riding with them.

I am sick of going out alone, and the more people I have around me the more experience I have, other than driving the backroads to work in Manchester or around Derry.

Well-established group rides are probably a good start too... Something like DucDave's rides out of Seacoast might be a good way to get your feet wet and meet some good, safe riding buddies.

Thanks everyone. Like I said I'm still new, and not a fan of the highway but I want to meet some new riding buddies so I can be one of those getting experienced riders. No better way to learn than other riders.

Yeah a lot of the people on this board are a little shady but, in general the sportbike community is pretty tame. I don't know what he's worried about.

The right group rides are a good start. Others can be overwhelming or even dangerous for newer riders. Picking the right group is key.

I think I know a guy that mentors new riders from time to time ....
