I took the bike out for a spin around town, it got up to 48 before the clouds came in and i couldn't resist Little bit of wash over from the melting snow but the roads weren't all that bad considering there's still close to a foot of snow on the ground. Only 15 miles today but it felt pretty good to get The One out again

Went out for a 50-something mile bicycle ride. It rocked. I think I had more fun than my motorcycle ride yesterday.

I spent a ridiculous amount of time going over my road bike this winter. I replaced 90% of the parts and put a ton of effort into improving the fit & positioning.. As a result it feels much faster, more comfortable, and the handling is finally perfect. I was actually shocked I got it set up so perfectly without being able to ride it outdoors.

I only saw two motorcyclists. People need to get motivated, the roads are really not bad in terms of sand.

My VFR looks almost as bad as Randy's SV right now though. I really need to take one of these warm days and try and clean it.

I like the sound of it so far but i never got the rpm above 9k today so it's hard to say how it's going to sound when it's on the pipe. It's not real loud but does have a nice deap tone to it

Did you order the kit from LRD on the R1-forum? If so, you'll need another bag of the packing, i packed the ones on my bike very tight with wire to try and keep the noise down as much as i could

nope, i didn't touch the cat.
He sent 1 bag of FMF packing with mine and i think i may have packed it much tighter than most so i ended up using the whole bag on one pipe Home depot has the same stuff at 1/4 the cost of the FMF stuff, it's a high density fibreglass pipe insulation

I went out yesterday and man it was cold. Thermometer said 38 when I left. It was my first time riding in 3 months and damn it was nice to be back on the road!

By far the best part of the ride tho was the looks I got from other drivers and pedestrians... They have these looks on their faces like " “Is that guy crazy? There's snow on the ground!". I just smiled to myself and kept going.

I think I'll keep the Ninja in the garage for a few more weeks until it gets a little warmer. I don't particularly enjoy wearing 3 separate layers under my Vanson

You said it. When I went out yesterday I wore long underwear under my pants that have thermal linings.

Upper body I had a long sleeve T-shirt on, followed by my heated jacket, followed by my MC jacket with it's thermal lining zipped in.

Easy to start feeling like a spaceman with all that crap on. Last time I rode like 3 weeks ago I just about lost it.

i was out Saturday with a couple of buddies. Got about 35 miles in, what a blast. Im loving the new ride. Ill be out as long as I know its around 40 degrees or more.

Everytime I get out, its worth the cleanup afterwards
