Note the f*cking Mass law only appears to cover Fireman, Police, EMTs, etc.. I would be worried with that law. The NH one looks much more fair.

The first rule back then was to assess the situation and determine if you could safely give aid.

In your situation I'm not sure it would be correct to assess you could safely be of help, I wouldn't feel too bad about what you did.

There was a really nasty case in CA recently where a Good Samaritan saved someones life from a horrible car crash in CA (burning car or something), but the victim ended up paralyzed. The victim managed to beat the Good Samaritan law and extract a bunch of money from him... very sad.

Good luck with the tires. I'd suspect they will either be fine or you will go out to the garage and find the tire flat from a slow leak.
