Stunter gets hit by an SUV

Found this on another forum I'm on, it's sparked good convo.

Basically a stunter is doing a stoppie around a blind curve and gets rear ended, then the SUV drives away without stopping.

My opinion is that he deserved to get hit, but also that the SUV shouldn't have just driven off.... they're both idiots.

The SUV was really moving. The guy pretty much deserved to get hit. The SUV driver waited to see the kid get up and then probably drove away for his/her own safety. I would expect my wife to do the same thing in that situation.

Its dumb enough that he would do that on a public road like it was nothing,

But a Fucking blind corner like that!!!!

WTF!

I think the SUV was right for driving away, what would have happened in that situation is the driver would have gotten nice premiums added to their insurance for rear ending someone, because the rider wasa jackass and i am sure he wouldnt have said he was doing a stoppie in the report!

He had it coming!!

I hope the SUV driver called the police right away from a cell phone. That situation could have gotten way out of hand if the other riders chased the driver down.

Im not sure the SUV was moving so fast. He was pretty close to the biker to begin with and was basically stopped right after the bike was hit. Had he been going really fast Im not sure he would have slowed so quickly.

Stunter shouldnt have been stunting on roads, and at least shouldve looked behind me
SUV shouldnt have been following that close. Shouldve had plenty time to stop, especially with the speeds (or lack thereof) they seemed to be going.

+1, and from what I see it doesn't even look like the car hit him.

Yep - agree totally. The guy was a clown for doing that on a blind corner. The driver was probably scared to see 50 punks on bikes lined around the corner. "yup, he's ok - see ya!"

they are both at fault the rider being dumb enough to do a stoppie on a blind corner and love his gear,and the suv for not paying attention and going to fast around a corner where they can clearly see alot of bikes on the side.

That's a good point Derek... I didn't think about that when I first saw.

The fact that there are dozens of bikes and bikers parked all around make a good case for not stopping... see that they are ok, stop down the road and call the police.
