Dave, I don't follow Rally, so I don't have any perspective on how an 11th place finish is. I heard it said that there were 11 WRC level cars there including Rossi's. That puts him in last place against his "peers" so to speak???

I would look at the fact that he finished, and 20 minutes is not shabby if you have an average of ten stages.

I think we all know it's been a LONG standing battle in the bench racing world as to which discipline takes more talent: F1 or WRC... but no matter what you think, just qualifying for and taking 11th place, even if it's out of 11 finishers, is pretty damn good in WRC.

Just like in MotoGP "They're all hero's, even the ones at the back"


I'm kinda bummed I haven't been able to follow ANY WRC this year, but wasn't suprised to see this : "The WRC driver's title for 2006 had already been sewn up before the NZ leg by Citroen's Sebastian Loeb."
