Did anyone see or hear anything about the bike accident on Route 95 yesterday afternoon? It was on the north bound side. Police and fire had the whole road blocked. We were coming back from riding in NH in the south bound lane. It looked bad, I hope the rider or riders are OK. Looked a a red CBR went down.

I went buy southbound just before 2PM , same thing, red bike down, missing parts, state police had the road closed down and the backup was only about a 1/4 mile.
he'll be ok. 21 year old with shoulder, wrist and left leg injuries. probably had a concussion as well, based on the statements he made. he was wearing a helmet, leather riding jacket and gloves. happened just before the topsfield rd overpass (exit 52) on 95 north in boxford.
the bike was a red cbr, could have been an '05 but i didn't look too closely.

glad he is ok for the most part
What happened? Did someone cut him off or something? That section of 95 is pretty straight.

This happened directly in front of me as I was driving. I was going about 70 and was passed be two bikes going no less than 100mph. I checked my rearview and saw a trooper with blues on about a 1/2 mile back. Bikes continued to fly by, some even passing in the breakdown lane. I didn't see him go down, but his bike went airborne, probably 12 feet in the air. There was a speed trap on the other side of the bridge, likely causing people to slow down. He is lucky he didn't get run over or hurt anyone else.
I would be astounded if he doesn't have multiple criminal charges brought against him.

good thing he didnt die...
I really didnt want to liston to his mom sobbing on the news about how its the staties fault he is dead and how good of a kid he was.
I thought staties/locals weren't supposed to chase motorcycles for this reason? Not saying I think this is in any way the staties fault,an asshat on a motorcycle is an asshat on a motorcycle regardless of situation...I just want to know.
followed up today - he walked away with just a broken wrist. lucky is an understatement.
