    Route across NH

I'm headed solo to Saco, Maine on Saturday and plan on taking RT 4 to White River Junction VT. From there I want something better than slab to get to Saco, Maine. Thoughts?

I might decide on a Southern route across VT and hit NH around Claremont.

Just looking for places to stay away from on routes that might be a little more fun without adding a bunch of time to the trip.

    Thanks

Take Route 4 in NH to Route 118 North, then take 112 East, 113 Maine Back to 112 Maine... won't see much activity until you get to Conway and then again towards Saco...

From Claremont I've ridden 103 and 114 and that was nice. That doesn't get you very far but unfortunately I went south from there and you should stay north of Manchester. I like that 114 runs parallel to 89. As much as I hate straight highway rides if it's getting late you can always hop on for a while and make up some time. It also makes it harder to get lost.

The route recommended over 118 and on to Conway is fun but will add a lot of time.

I can slab it from WRJ to Saco in the same amount of time it will take you to get from WRJ to Conway.

I did 4-118-93-112- then misc random roads. It took way longer than I expected but that was cool. I left home at 10:30 and rolled into the house at Saco at 5:30. I spent a couple hours riding in the rain but it was still fun as hell.
112 was much fun. I got carried away and ground some hard parts here and there thanks for the tip.

I missed this thread, Adam. Didn't realize you were on NESR! Does your GPS import routes or tracks?

103 From Claremont to Warner....rte 127 is usually pretty good heading north from Hopkinton through Salibury, 11 will put you through Alton, into Maine to Sanford and to 111 into Saco.
