    Ram air on the dyno

Anyone here dyno tuned a carbureted bike with a ram air intake?

Do/how do dyno operators compensate for this factor?

For those who don't know, there is a tube from my airbox that leads to the carbs which pressurizes the bowls to the same pressure as the airbox.

    They don't...

Unless they have an EXTREMELY expensive and elaborate dyno set up. I do not know of such a beast anywhere near here. Don't fall for the extra $10 "airbix pressurized" option at they dyno day. It's usually a box fan with a shroud and a piece of PVC.

Those big fans that they run are there to take some heat off the bike. They warm up pretty good when your beating the balls off of it, while it's stationary, and indoors...

Re: Ram air on the dyno

I mean, theoretically, the pressure is equalized so it should self compensate, but from what I've read on some ZX forums there are still issues.
