Barry Richmond

CHARLESTOWN — Barry Cuda Richmond, 22, of the Claremont Road in Charlestown, died unexpectedly in an accident at his parents’ home on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003.

He was born in Claremont on March 31, 1981, the son of Bruce S. and Nancy (Rolfe) Richmond and had resided in Charlestown for the past 20 years.

He graduated from Fall Mountain Regional High School in 2000 and from Baran Institute of Technology in Windsor, Conn., with honors in 2001 as an ASE certified auto mechanic.

He was employed by Ironhorse Roofing Co. in Londonderry, Vt. While in high school, he was employed in the Youthworks summer program at FMRHS. For the past four racing seasons, he was a corner worker at NHIS in Loudon.

He was a lifelong aficionado of NASCAR racing and enjoyed studying both old and new tracks, drivers and cars. He took great pride in the fact that he was named after the first car his father owned. His hobbies also included computer and fantasy games, music and he was an avid pro-wrestling fan.

His surviving family includes his parents, Bruce and Nancy of Charlestown; his brother, Adrian S. Richmond of Charlestown, currently serving in the U.S. Army Reserves stationed in Kuwait; his companion, Paulsy Slavin of Charlestown; his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Rolfe of Dover; his paternal grandmother, Rita A. Richmond of Claremont; his maternal great-grandmother, Ruth Gray of Somersworth; one uncle, Mike Rolfe and his wife, Rose, of Pepperell, Mass., and their daughters, Stacey and April; one aunt, Donna Brenner and her husband, David, of Orford, and several great aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, George Rolfe, and his paternal grandfather, Donald S. Richmond.

He will be missed by his family and friends.
