Rode the last few days from home in NH, to Kansas City, MO, for the next job.
My wonderful wife has kindly loaned me her '95 M900 to ride, until I get a new bike.
I was a bit apprehensive, since I hadn't ridden a bike in 7 months, since the crash that claimed my own bike.
That's the longest I'd gone without riding in 30 years.
The first day, about 400 miles to Rochester, NY, was tough. My saddle was saddlesore; my back and neck and wrists and so on all ached ...
I stayed an extra day there, as I was having a good visit, and to ready myself for the long rides ahead.
But my body remembered, and set itself back to shape for riding.
The next day, I felt good all day, got about 600 miles, all the way to Indianapolis.
Then 500 miles the next day, to Kansas City.
It feels really good to be back on a bike.
