    can you safely jump start

a motorcycle with a quick charge car booster?

oh and just to add fun to the question.....

this bike has NO BATTERY !( it is on order)

helping a bud out putting his bike back together and he wants to hear it roar to life.
just to see if anything else needs to be done mechanically before the rest of the bike is fitted back on.....

    thanks.

I doubt it will even run with no battery. I know in some bikes you need the battery to keep going. I kjnow after started the bike is supposed to run off its own charging system but the battery has to be there just to complete the circuit. Not sure if it would be bad or not to try to get it going with no battery.

Sure, those quick boosters are nothing but small batteries anyway. I use them all the time. Crank it up if you want.

even with the battery missing? will it stay running or can I leave it on the charger clamps to keep the circuit closed?

You can do it, but I wouldn't unhook the jump pack while it's running. I fried my regulator last season doing that.

Motorcycles won't stay running without a battery in them to act as a capacitor, but you can leave the battery starter (it's not a charger) on there and it'll run just fine.
