Yeah I did my monster after I bought it thinking I would race it as a novice. I never raced it but I did get some good practice on safety wiring a bike though. Now it has that real street fighter look..... hahahahahahaha

Nope, safety wire is the painstaking process of drilling tiny holes in the heads of bolts so you can feed thin steel wire through and secure one bolt to another preventing them from backing out. It's done on helicopters, aircraft, racebikes, and other zero failure tolerance situations.
Never did, but after viewing a 2 mile oil trail and a blown motor on a Honda (as inferred too in the above post) I am rethinking it as a cheap quick prevention policy
