Re: School me: Triumph Tiger Explorer, and comp
If it’s the one on ADVrider I’ve been talking myself out of it as a second bike since it was first posted. I am a little suspicious of it though as it’s been listed for soooooo long at a great price.

Re: School me: Triumph Tiger Explorer, and comp
I forgot to mention, anyone who gets a Tiger 1200 (not including the new 4th Gen that comes out next year) should install upper engine guards if they aren't already on there. The lower guards are good too. Mine have paid for themselves many times over. Oh, and the OEM hand guards don't offer any crash protection. Upgrading those to Barkbusters is a must as well IMO.

That's the one. It does seem too cheap, but the ones that are reasonably priced aren't selling. It's also in Jackson, MS, so not exactly a sprawling metropolis.

Ha, I've been watching that white one in MS too but I'd like to see myself roll over a motorcycle odo past 100k at least once in my life

Re: School me: Triumph Tiger Explorer, and comp
I’ll be using it to replace my 98k mile vstrom if you want a short cut to that goal

Re: School me: Triumph Tiger Explorer, and comp
Congrats, how do you like it? FYI, this being a ‘22 model the cat is in the end cans unlike the earlier bikes. If you want to decat it you just need any slip on for an earlier model, they’ll fit without modification. Also, the SW-Motech and Hepco & Becker crash guards don’t fit without modification. Actually SW just released a ‘22 version, so make sure you choose the right year if you get them.
It’s a great bike, hope you like it.

I love it. It’s so easy to ride, wish I had bought this style bike sooner.

And buying from National gets you a two year triumph warranty, plus a third on National, allegedly unlimited miles.
Trying to convince my wife to buy a Street Twin or Street Scrambler for her first bike.

I trailered my new Tracer GT home from North Kingston, RI at the same time, everything from light clouds to monsoon in one 70 mile drive.

Is the scram engine the same as the Explorer?

No. The Explorer is a triple and the Scrambler is a parallel twin.
