    Scorpio alarm issue!

I've got a scorpio SR-i500 on my bike. Worked great up until tonight. The transmitter has died. I wanted to shoot out for a quick ride, and I can't disarm it! I could disable it, but I don't feel like sitting by my bike dismantling it while the alarm is blaring.

Has anyone run into a problem like this?
I called the number on the back of the transmitter, but they're not open till Monday. This sucks.......

    Scorpio alarm issue!

Happened to me...I had to set the alarm off, pull off the seat, unplug the alarm, run into my apartment and pile pillows on top of it untill it stopped

Did you get the one with the backup battery?

Either way you can disconnect the ground wire or pull the fuse until you get a new transmitter.

most likely your AAA batery is dead in your remote - even when its dead it will still stay "on"

    Scorpio alarm issue!

It's not the battery. I've swapped it with known good ones (read: BRAND NEW) a few times now.

I've had the system for a few years now, so I know what a dead battery is like.

The transmitter has failed, I'm just wondering if anyone has dealt with Scorpio's customer service on here and if they know how to go about getting a new transmitter.......

    Scorpio alarm issue!

so the remote itself is on but doesn't communicate with the alarm itself?

If thats the issue it could be :

    1) remote lost programming, needs to be reprogrammed to the brain unit. (i can't remember the procedure)

    2) possible antenna issue, make sure that wire is still good.

If its neither of those then it could be the remote OR the brain unit.

Oh no, the remote powers up. Sort of. When I install the battery, all the icons light up like they're supposed to. Then they flash randomly for about 1/2 a second and it goes blank.
