    New Season Orange County Choppers

I just watched the new episode and I`m all amped up over the new season. Jessie James is talkin trash and OCC, JJ, and PJD are all gonna be in a build off next week. This should turn out to be quite a series. I watched PJD start the WTC bike which is a tribute to the the World trade Center and already I`m thinking this bike will be something very special. Any fans out there of this show?

You can see Sr's store from the interstate as you head down to NJ/NYC. I watch it on and off...not for the mostly hideous sideshow looking bikes, but for the work dynamics which reminds me of a construction company I used to work for. What did Jesse mail to the two Pauls???

It became too much about family drama than building bikes... I stopped watching it a few years ago.

Still plenty of drama going around and I`m not a big fan of that crap . I do appreciate the creative and technical side of the build and had stopped watching the show for a while because there wasn`t enough of that going on.I think recently PJD has stepped up and I started watching again when I saw some print on the Gears Of War build. I think Jesse James is gonna get smoked in the build off and SR well .............................

Are you out of you mind! OCC and PJD couldnt wipe Jesse James ass when it comes to skill and talent building a bike,Jesse does (or did) all his own fabrication building bikes, including making his own tins on an english wheel i dont even know if those guys know what an english wheel is! But if welding some wrenches and stupid do dads to a bike and calling it custom is your thing then so be it.

IMHO it never was about building bikes...

Re: New Season Orange County Choppers

It amazes me people still watch the Teutuls, or that anyone has any interest in their bikes. They seem to be among the only ones who haven't realized yet that the chopper fad is dead. While the real builders have moved on to all sorts of other custom bikes, the Teutuls still just build the same stretched out bike, weld/bolt different crap to it, paint it different colors, and call it custom. Boring.

Jesse James was turning out true customs years ago, ranging from choppers with handmade frames and metalwork to truly innovative styles that departed completely from the chopper mold. It's a shame he got sidetracked by his fame, because he was much better at building bikes than being a "star."

The fact that JJ and the Teutals are working on the same show just proves that the whole "chopper reality show" fad is imploding.

    This.

Oh boy, the 10th version of the spider bike. Zzzzzzzz!

It turned my stomach when OCC became a Ducati dealer and "customized" a Monster. Ugh...

Good Lord, I'd never seen that one. Now I'm going to have nightmares.

Watching that show is sort of like watching a train wreck, not only in terms of family relationships but also in mechanical craftsmanship. Jesse James on the other hand is pretty entertaining as he actually makes stuff.

In their defence, even though I agree most of their bikes were "what crap can we bolt onto this stock frame", sometimes they do something interesting, and they have been doing a lot more real fabrication the odd time I see the show.

I think Nubby did a lot more to make their bikes look palatable than any of the guys banging stuff together. And if you think those buys are butt ugly, you ever see the "stock" OCC bikes? People spend money on those things?

If there were more motorcycle shows on I don't think this show would have lasted half as long as it has....

Speaking of that why the hell aren't there more motorcycle-themed shows out there????

There are a few, they just tend to be relegated to channels not as many people get. Like "Cafe Racer" on Velocity (formerly Discovery HD Theater -- they showed so many motorsports programs that they eventually gave up on the other stuff and changed the name). "Cafe Racer" actually shows some pretty nice builds, and most of those bikes subsequently get tested by the Bostrom brothers.

True...but that is in between them talking about ugly haircuts and building a bike for some fat annoying chinese chick. They need more content in that show.
