So i'm riding home from class today around 2:30pm. I head over the BU bridge, and into Cambridge (Boston people will know the area). I come up to a red light and there is like a ton of traffic. i'm hungry. i need to take a piss. so i lanesplit a bit, and then it got a little sketchy, so i just pull back into the lane. i sit there for a bit. i hear an engine reving. i look to my right...nothing. I look to my left, and start laughing. this lady on a scooter is lane splitting. she stops next to me, looks me dead in the eye, and starts reving her engine like she wants to race. she must be in her mid 40's. grey bisness skirt. heels. purse over her arm, big sun glasses. I am so bewildered at this point all i can do is laugh. the light turns green, i start to go, and then traffic stops again for some reason. she looks back at me, and DIRIVES UP ONTO THE SIDEWALK, through some small bushes, goes about 1/2 block (on the sidewalk, which was REALLY narrow) runs through some more bushes, cuts a car off, frightens a small child, and then hops back onto the road in front of all the cars.
Why does Yamaha have to make scooters? Or better yet, why does Yamaha have to make a scooter that can out run my R1?
