    Shark Helmets???

I need a new helmet. I've been wearing the same Arai for the past 6 yrs. and still love it. But feel for safty reasons I need to invest in a new one.

I wear the Arai Profile helmet which is designed to fit people with oval heads.
I'm looking into the new Shark RSR2 helmet. but I can't find any info about fit comparisons between Arain and Shark.

So....does anyone wear Shark helmets? If so, what is your experience with them? Likes and dislikes?

    thanks

    Re: Shark Helmets???

    i just got a rs2 from motorcyclecloseouts.com

    pro's
    super light
    think shield.

    con's
they have this button thing that mad opening the visor difficult.
i broke mine off. the shield stays up when it wants to. could just be mine.

other than those two glaring problems its a good helmet.

+1 on Arai, tried a couple sharks on, i am going to stick with the arai profile as my head is oval aswell. Protected my noggin perfectly when i damaged erics paint with my face.

Sooo, what head shape does the shark accommodate? How does the shape compare to an arai vector?

    Re: Shark Helmets???

The shark seemed super round to me. Didn't fit at all like the other brands(maybe icon). The shield is nice as mentioned above, but i totally hated the feel of it, which is too bad because i like the internal safety and design.

I had an Icon yrs ago. It felt like I was wearing a sinderblock. I also owned a bell helmet. That thing was super round with a ton of forehead pressure.

Nate, def try it out somewhere before spending big bucks on shark. I'm a shoei head....x-11 fits me perfect. Tried shark rsr2 at riverside - a while ago. Didn't fit my head too well. Had this weird open space right on top.

    Re: Shark Helmets???

I love my Shark. The shield is anti fog and it works well. I wear mine while racing. It's light and the shield is super easy to change.

Best helmet I have owned. I have owned several arai and shoe models and I like my Shark the best.

And they don't cost 6 hundred fuckin bucks.
