Regardless of originallity, that thing is still beautiful!
BTW-There were no '81 pace cars. '78 & '86 if I remember correctly, but no '81. '81's are starting to get (relatively) pricey, especially with the 4-speed manual. They only shipped a coupla thousand from the factory...
Just trying to follow in your footsteps.
I've got the 3 and 4 cylinder thing down now. Just waiting to pounce on the 2..
:drink:
Nah, no racing. Wife was ok with the track bike, but she knows the difference between track day and racing. Both money, sanity, and safety wise. It was worth a shot, right?
If I had got an SV, then you know the racing thing would have been "worked on"
:spit:
nice. post up some pics after your get her together. :shredder:
The SV would make a good future stablemate for the "2" cyclinder. :teehee:
My father has got a 78 vette, that needs a good amount of work that would make a good project car if your looking? I have a little invested into it, but it is in serious need of some TLC. It makes me depressed everytime i look at it considering what its been through.
Like I said I'm not positive it's the original engine, and too lazy to look it up. But yeah, every spare part we got with the car will go with it. This car should always stay a driver, if you are looking to restore something, just spend 45k on a finished one, you'll still be saving 20k in restoration coin.
The 'vette needs at least a shifter rebuild, maybe a tranny rebuild? Definitely a radiator. There are some things that still need to be straightened out, he's only had it three years. I could show you the car if you're interested, but, fwiw he's looking to sell it to fund a $45k finished restored '65. There are some deals in Hemmings Motor News, that's where I found the '64. You can save a lot of money buying someone else's finished project.
Forget all the nice things I said about my 'body man. I'm getting jerked off, my shit's half done, I've paid for more than I've gotten at this point and he's stopped work on my stuff because he "needs to make some money". I am not a happy Burnham.
