    Shipping a bike

I found a bike that I am interested in but it's in Florida! I'm in NH.
Can anyone tell me about shipping a bike? Who do you call? How much might it cost and what's it like to arrange? Does it arrive in good shape?
    Thanks!

Hey man, I am looking into the same thing. Here is a good place that does it for around $500 or so, depending on the location I think.

Try Forward Air, forwardair.com. I think the most it can possibly cost with them is $500, and being on the same coast, it shouldn't be that much. The only downside is that you have to pick it up at one of the airport terminals. I know there is one in Albany, NY, and I think there might be one in Manch-vegas....

    Good luck

    Hey to you too, Stoneman!
Got laid off, got a new job, am now full time in NH. But had no money for a track day. Had hoped to do corner work at the least but had to work. Been doin some ridin tho, got to 113, Hurricane Mt and 153, finally. What a gas! Trust you all had a blast. Still want to be there next spring and take up where I left off, following Degsy around the track! He got me to go just that little bit faster than I ever would have on my own!

    Ask MS

When Myster Squid returns from FLA........ he can bring it back for you.

I bought my Bird in AZ. $420 from major airport (Phoenix: Skyharbor) to Logan under 500 LBS. TWO WEEKS wait.

    Pay in advance
Plan ahead (the date).............all trucks were $600 and up.

Rent a $ 19.99 budget Ford Ranger and drive it back with those "unlimited miles......................."

-Suf Daddy possible hook up from Jacksonville if the timing is right................

I like the $19.99 idea, get a cheap flight and blast back but I just heard from the person and they are now in London(? ) It was a recent ad.....
I'm trying to find out whether the bike resides in the US or went to the UK with them. Still on hold.

Watch out for this Seller - seriously. It sounds like a typical e-bay bike scam. Often they'll try to get you to use some bullshit escrow service.

In any case, my advice is that you do this deal COD only if the dude cant stay in the country long enough to sell the bike.

Hey roadrider, sorry to tell you, but I have dealt with so many bikes being "in another country" all of a sudden. 99% of the time, it is a scam. I know that is going to let you down, but I have talked to numerous people who say that and it is getting really annoying. Just try to move on to another bike, the asshole is trying to scam you. Send him a message trying to scare him off if you just want to end it, but if you want to find out if he is for real, ask some questions to test his validity.

Yeah, kinda what I thought. The woman has yet to get back to me so I've been looking elsewhere. Since it's going into winter pretty quick up here I'm in no real hurry but it sure was a nice lookin bike. Thanks. Now I know more in case the next one is the same deal...having to ship that is.

Roadrider. I too looked into a great deal on a bike off E-Bay listed in Fla, but when the time came to deal they said they were in UK. They tried to convince me it was legit, and tryed to get me to send them a money order for $3500 for a 2003 R1 with 2500 miles on it. Yeah total scam...

    Dont even waste your time...

    Good luck on your search.
