    Shipping track fairings

Any suggestions on the safest and least expensive way to do this?

    TIA

Shipping race bodywork sucks. Last time I asked Freddie from Yoyodyne, I think he said he used a bus company. Fed Ex, UPS etc will want a fortune because the boxes are so big.

Not a bad idea, I don't think the buyer is in a tremendous rush, and he's buying a set of wheels too. Do you remember, was it a bus company like Bonanza? A passenger bus line, or a bus line that only does cargo?

Pack with tons of paper or bubble rap and get a really good corrugated box. Yes some type of reliable bus company would be the least expensive way. Try to get insurance on it as well as, even though a box might flex with something on top of it the bodywork and or primer won't. We have lots of bodywork in stock for some older bikes and the price of shipping is higher then the price we have on some of the listings on eBay, thanks to UPS upping their rates yet again.

I think he said he used passenger line, but can't remember for sure. You could also check with the guys at Woodcraft. They ship a lot of bodywork

who are you using to ship stuff, Fung Wah?

if you can get a full set of track plastics in a box that's not considered oversized I'd be impressed. The upper fairing usually means it has to be a gigantic box. cost me $140 to ship a set to TX last year. Cost about $100 to have the same plastics shipped from CA a few years ago.
