    good shorty levers

Looking at adding a shorty brake lever. Been looking around, and all I see are either $30 (a pair) Chinese knock offs or $150 per lever race based units. Anyone know of anything in between? I don't mind paying a couple bucks for these, but I won't be racing this bike. I would like to get a matching pair, shorty on the brake and long style on the clutch side.
    Thanks

I've seen and used Mike's levers on more than one bike; my street bike has one of his and one CRG, and his is equal in quality in all respects I can observe.

It's noteworthy that the components for 434 Racer levers do come from an overseas manufacturer, but Mike assembles the levers himself, and he's attentive to detail almost to a fault.

^ this and everything said prior. I've got his levers on several of my bikes. Same damn thing as Pazzo, etc. for less than half the cost. Plus you've got someone local to bitch at if something isn't right (not like you'll need to though)

Another +1 to 434 Racer levers. I have them on both of my bikes.

I've had a set of Mikes levers and currently have Pazzos. I don't notice any difference. Maybe the quality is better on the name brand for long term but they feel exactly the same in hand.

Wish I knew before I ordered the egay knockoffs as I couldn't swing the pazzo's. If (when) I'm disappointed with these I'll have to go 434

    Wirelessly posted (GS3)

I have the 434 brake lever on the SM and a pair on the SV. The only issue I have had with them was/is minor. There is an adjustment on the ktm one that I was unaware of that was causing the brakes to bind up because the relief port wouldn't open up. And I can't turn the bars to lock on sv without them hitting the guages. I am 100% sure that is my fault since I put a gsxr front end on it.
Quality stuff, I wish he could get dirt bike stuff done too.

Last set of Pazzo's I bought were know where near $150 per lever..more like $180 for the set.

Probably gonna catch some shit for this here, but there's no way in hell I'm using anything made in china for the function of the most important part of my bike

    Re: good shorty levers

my 434 levers have been through a few offs, and an incident in turn one where a guys suit caught and yanked it forward. Hard. Other than a bent perch in that incident (single part easily replaced by Mike so I didn't have to buy an entire lever), the levers have come out every time without problems.

Add me to the fanboy list for the 434 levers.

When did Pazzo start charging full price for their knock offs? (I love seeing Pazzos referenced like they're the originator of that design... they were the original cheap copy...)

I didn't even look at Pazzo. I was referring to ASV.

I am sure there are differences, but the 434 levers look identical to some Chinese levers available for like $40 a set. I assume the price on the 434 site is per lever? In all honesty, I am not racing this bike, fit and finish is more important to me than just functionality. (Yes, poser upgrade to a bike that is not a race bike, I just hate the look of the cast aluminum levers).

    Thanks all for the options.

I had a set of 434's levers on my RSV4 and lived them. Thinking about grabbing a set for the hyper now too.

I'm not his official spokesperson but I don't think there are a lot of things out there that he cannot do.
