What are everyone's thoughts on Michelin Pilot Sports.
Seeing that the stock Bridgestone 010's aren't made anymore I had to try something else.
Grip doesn't seem to be an issue with the 010's so I don't think I will worry about the Sports.
How long have they worn, I average 6000 miles on the 010's before the cords started showin.
Comments?
Hey Dave that was me that ordered those from you.

I love my Pilot Sports, as does RMBikes and Downtime6.
I do think Half Squid likes his as well, though with all the burnouts and stoppies they are worn out much faster than ours![]()

I love the way they handle, I will look to see how many miles I have on them. The rear is at the wear bars now and a new one is in route! Front is still is great shape!

I have the Pilot Sports on my Duc and they work great on the street. On the track, they get greasy and slippery after about 6-8 fast laps...But, this is to be expected of street tires. Right now, I have about 2000 miles on them and they have plenty of life left.
But, yes I like them alot. Much better than the Pirellis I had before.
Posted this to the V-twin tires post a week and a half ago. Hope it helps.
I just put Pilot sports on my bike, the first non Dunlops ever for me mind you. So far they have been very good. I scrubbed then in at the last Tony's track day, then followed to push them pretty hard. They performed very well. Heated up quickly then had a predictable feel when they were pushed hard (ie coming out of turns 4 & 6). Until the last session when they were slightly over heated and started to get greasy, other than that they were very good.
All that being said I still love the 208's. They were very similar on the track, but wore funny (feathering) on the front from street riding. I don't know how the sports will wear so can't comment yet. Either way I think all the top end sport tires are very good, it is almost just a personal choice now. Unless you have a unique bike or are capable to use them to the limits regularly![]()

Finally remembered to check the odometer! I have 4K on my pilot sports and the rear is done! Front still has about 3 to 4K Left on it. The rear was at the wear bars 500 miles ago, and could probably squeeze 250 out of them before I see cords, but I am going to take it off and use my spare rim and tire till Saturday night, then this puppy is being shredded on the burn out board at stonners!!! New rear is in route as we speak!!!
Overall review is A+++ These do heat up quick and qrip the road better than any tire I have tried! You'll love them if you dont mind only getting 4 to 5 K out of them. Not bad if you ask me for the performance they allow you to ride on them! Mind you 1K of the miles were serious riding down around Deals Gap and another 150 Miles of track time! The rest is N.E. finest twisties!
