    Slipper clutch VS. ???

A slipper clutch limits engine braking, so that when you downshift you can mash through the gears and not have to worry about mechanically overrevving the engine, or locking up the rear wheel.

advantage is quicker less worry-some downshifting...

disadvangates would be that they cost more...

I have one on my Gixer

Either it is icy smooth or I have never experienced engaging

I was pretty used to clutch in in most situations

    Slipper clutch VS. ???

Some bikes...like my beloved Kawi...are equipped with what is called a back-torque limiter. This is a slipper clutch, brought alive through altering clutch plate thickness.
