Seems like a slow riding summer--no bikes?

Is it me or is motorcycle riding low this year? I hardly see any bikes on the road. I use to see a ton of them.... this year, I do not even see to many harleys. Maybe the ecomomy folks are moth balling for the year?

Does not seem to be as many group rides this year either...

I haven't noticed any shortage of bikes on the road. In fact, we've got more people than ever riding to work at my company.

I see bikes out all over the place. I actually think I have seen more this season that prior seasons.

    Ditto on the scooters...
    rant on:
I seen a couple scooters that cant be unseen, these tools had 6.5" speakers on their scooters at bike night. There really should be a cc requirement for bike night, i mean seriously if i was the person at the entrance waving people in and a moped came up to me blaring dmx, i would point him twords the water.

Ive noticed a lot more bikes this year. Two new riders in my small neighboorhood. It is a little funny to watch one of them "practice" around the block.

Re: Seems like a slow riding summer--no bikes?

The scooters activity is off the charts up on the North Shore. I think people are getting scooters to beat the increasingly crushing gridlock around here. In Salem, it's not a bad way to get around. Better than a car, for sure.

I see no shortage of bikes on 128 every morning, either.

No, same here. I haven't seen as many either. We use to have quiet a few bikes ridden to my work. They even built a designated spot for them so they would be protected. Over the past year or two that number has decreased that only 1 or 2 bikes ride in now. If I'm out tooling around I barely pass any. But obviously that is not the case for everyone.
