Seriously? Where do you need more than a 600cc sled in New England? A friend of mine who has probably been riding longer than you have been around buys himself a new 600 every year. Says anything bigger out here is a waste and he can ride for longer because they use much less fuel.
Here is a pic from yesterday and it sure as hell had no problem getting me through the woods.

Matter of fact, a 600 is fine anywhere. I ride a 600 ETEC and it can reach a tick over 100 mph...plenty fast enough unless you're a lake whore.
Rode from Pittsburg to St. Georges, Quebec with a few sledding buddies this past weekend. Unbelievably fast trails that are wide and groomed to perfection. Clubhouses throughout the trail network that are a party-like atmosphere. Check it out if you can!:hellyeah:

...I never felt my sled was inadequate when I was on a 377 fan cooled Skidoo Safari... Yeah I'd get blasted on lakes or the superhighway Canadian 'trails' but actually in the woods it was faster than any group I ever rode with.

i have a sled with a 600 etec makes for a good utility sled. no need for speed or much power.
no lakes just tight technical trails.

great sled for pulling a drag around the yard without overheating.
no power or suspension.

I really should just sell it but there is that little voice in my head that says "yeah but you really want to ride it"
Here it is in its native environment at some point since I bought it

Woah, that thing is ruthless. Somewhere between a sled and a snowbike.. looks like a workout!

I had no idea a snowhawk existed - that looks cool as hell! Thumb throttle or twist?

Re: Snowbikes... (GSXR snowbike?)
wonder if Kate will let me play. wonder if i can put the snowblower and the S-hawk in the truck together?
Re: Snowbikes... (GSXR snowbike?)
The one in my garage has a twist throttle. I am pretty sure they all came with twist throttles.

That's what's up - I can't get behind thumb throttles.
I do NOT need a snowhawk, I'll spend the rest of my afternoon repeating that phrase now.

There might be a trailer we could figure out how to get the SnowHawk onto as well. Might have to play with the lights and you may not want to rip up the highway at 75+ towing it but it would likely get you there.

Yes it would probably strap down just like a bike. Could use two tie downs to the handlebars for the front and then tie two to the foot pegs going backwards to keep from smashing the ski into the bed.
Re: Snowbikes... (GSXR snowbike?)
Joel, didn't I tell you snowmobile trails run right by my place? :D
Re: Snowbikes... (GSXR snowbike?)
Would love to try one of those sno hawk's.

Same here. All this snow all of a sudden is really making me want to try one RIGHT NOW.

Re: Snowbikes... (GSXR snowbike?)
Snow machines have never been my thing, but I have to admit that sno hawk looks like a hoot. I think it looks like a better design than a timbersled. The front bodywork have to help it float better in pow.

Seems a bit pricey, but there is one for sale on the NH sleds for sale FB page.
