I'd love to go thru deep powder like that, my V-strom starts dragging the belly pan once it gets 5 or 6 inches deep, I also start roosting snow with my boots, I need new tires

Id be really worried about what maybe under the snow, Looks like he is on trails for a good while in the beginning.
my buddy is in eod stationed in alaska and he did this to his exc 500 a few months ago. He says it took awhile to get used to being akward to ride but the more he's ridden it he's gotten used to it and goes out on a regular basis now with guys on sleds. The price of the kit was as much as a used sled though...

only about one frame of closeup, looked like off road spikes to me, which could make the maintained road portion of the ride sketchy. I run standard automotive studs on my V-strom drilled holes in Karoo Ts for the front, and I run darkside in back, I've ridden several thousand miles in conditions similar to when he hit pavement, I've never had any problem plowing thru virgin snow, but the deepest I've been in, is only 7"±
its when there is more traffic and the salts that they use today allow the snow to churn into ruts and rills that you have to pay more attention, it can get to feeling like your riding a motorboat with a front mounted rudder

OMG, screw that. That looks like ZERO fun to me. I'll just snow blow my driveway with the chute pointing at me if I want to experience that sort of fun.
