I'm test riding Yamahas at the Streets of Willow next weekend. Take a look at their schedule and see if you can make one of the events: https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/mo.../demo-a-yamaha

I'd be floored if Mark doesn't have an insider at a Yami dealer (or more!).

I’m hoping someone knows a salesperson or manager that’d let me check things out without much pressure. Wanna ride both Tenere options and the Tracer 900.

Also hope to ride the AfricaTwin, a Multistrada, and maybe even a Versys 1000. Kind of interested in the Tracer and T700 currently.

My connection moved to the Carolinas a couple years ago. That said, I’ve had great luck with pricing and no pressure sales staff at Motorsports Nation in Plainfield, Ct

Mom's, I get that they sponsor you but that place is full off scumbags. Who was the guy here that worked at every bike place in NH trying to get business at his job of the month? Yeah he worked there, they are not good people nor do they employ good people.

If you pull off all those test rides without hitting demo events, then I would like to know your secret.
Except for demo events, in my life I've managed to get exactly one pre-purchase test ride on a leftover model they were having trouble selling. Whenever I inquire about a demo ride-espeically with Japanese brands-I get told no. I would love to know wtf I am doing wrong.

Also Yamaha/Star demo events are some of the lamest, most strict yawn fests I've ever been to. They are invariably super strict about what you can and cannot do with the bikes. It boils down to a tightly rehearsed parade lap around a short loop with speeds < 50 MPH. I've rarely felt fully confident I knew the bike after a demo event.

Yamaha school was at nyst earlier this year doing very fast, group led test rides on several models, but seen to remember if was the more sport inspired bikes, like r6, r1 and fazers.
