Scenario: Pulling out of the Vanilla Bean parking lot, stopped at edge of driveway to check traffic coming and get ready to pull out. Wife on her own bike slams into back of your bike with hers, breaking parts of your tail section. No one got hurt. This is, however, the second time she's been behind me and not paying attention or keeping safe distance.... last time I managed to get the hell outta the way!

Also, it prolly isnt a bad idea for her to wait to upgrade....she prolly feels just as bad or worse about the incident as you do...

Hmm....does she need your permission to own a bike? And unless you own that bike (paying for it), I don't think you have a say in selling what's hers. Sorry, just had to comment on that option of a poll, it kinda of bugged me.

Besides that...I would think if she rear ended you twice, you should have a serious talk with her about this. If she can't pay more attention to what she's doing, I'd strongly suggest she give up on riding. Did she take MSF class? Is she the typical women driver when driving her car? Meaning, not paying attention, had many accidents in the past, etc.? If she's not a good driver, I'd expect she might not be a good rider either. Danger to herself and others. Good luck.

Well, it'll be a while before I can trust her when she's behind me. She says she has no problems when she's on her own. Trouble is, "on her own" is about 2400 miles (as in how much experience she has total). I think she needs to do alot more riding, build up some experience.

but seriously... i've done the same thing in my car TWO times... and there was contact both times. First time it was cuz there was a huge hole in traffic & i assumed the car in front of me went... but they didin't... it was some old fuck in a BRAND SPANKIN NEW CAR.... on a TEST DRIVE no less

second time was cuz i was checkin out a girl.... we made eye contact JUST as i bumped the truck in front of me... good times hahaha

BUT... now every single time i'm behind a car that's at a stop i make DAMN GOOD SURE it's movin before i start moving... in other words - I LEARNED... so from personal experience i'm sure she learned her lesson as i did & it won't happen again. hopfully she'll be paranoid about it from now on as i kinda am every time i come into a situation like this one.

Punnishment: I say make her DEEEEEEEETAIL (wash AND wax) the bikes (her's too)... then maybe when she's done go help her w/ the cars while she's at it & split the cost of repairs... that way you can call it punnishment, but it's to the benifit of both of you
