I made the mistake of fighting my ticket and just accepting the fee reduction and not asking for a point reduction. I wondered why they were so happy just to do the fine reduction until I got a letter in the mail stating I had 10 points on my license (2 tickets). I was 2 points from losing my license for 15 days! Anyway just be educated on all of the repercussions. Good luck!

Yeah, it's like they get a kick-back from the insurance companies or something.

For MA, Last time I called a lawyer about a ticket he said, "Go in and be nice, if I show up they'll do everything they can to ram it down your throat." I expressed my concern over what it would do to my [high Boston] insurance rates and they cut me loose. Turns out it was an illegal sign and I would have gotten off anyway because I fought it.

We even give employees paid time off to fight speeding tickets.

From what I understand on most radars they only get a positive "lock" when their nearest and highest speeds match then it will hold that reading. Not sure if that's useful at all for you in fighting this case
