I like it. My Tiger 1050 was awesome, but tall and top-heavy. I liked the Versys 650 I sat on, this seems to be a little more premium version. Maybe this will convince Yamaha to bring the Tracer 700 over this way.
Pricing announced!!!

I’m going to put together a spec comparison, but to absolutely nobody’s surprise, Honda has gone in a more boring direction.
I say that as a lifetime Honda guy.
I gotta say, that engine makes about the perfect amount of power. I had a hoot on an AfricaTwin I test rode, it was just a bit too soft for my liking.
Went with an MTS1200S and to be frank, I really enjoy it’s low power mode (100HP) on the smaller back roads.

at this point in my life, if I were to do any sport touring, I'd get a big scooter

As I read elsewhere, “a Versys 650 with a British accent”
Sold the Wee last year due to it just not rustling my jimmies anymore.
In the market for something highway capable that is also good on rough roads. Have a job where I need to commute to Boston once a week from out in the sticks.
A parallel twin similar to my 890r's would be mint, but I would want shaft drive and cushy suspension with some wind protection.
I wonder when that new Honda is coming out with the Africa Twin 1100?

Sounds like a Guzzi V85TT would do very nicely, perfectly in fact. I'm planning to sell mine what with my knee issues, and go with smaller bikes. 2020 V85TT Adventure (full luggage) with 4491 miles, I added the center stand, engine guards, Mistral V Twin Boost plug, a bigger Madstad screen for cold weather, twin horns FIAMM Freeway Blasters with relay, bunch of other upgrades, oils for the next change, spare valve cover gaskets, spare clutch cable ... comes to about $1K in extras. Bought new from SSC in April 2021, so OEM warranty til April 2023. Plus, very easy DIY service, valves, etc. Has shaft of course. Air-cooled simplicity (we don't need no stinkin' radiator). Great on the highway, and will handle MA 68 no problem (been there). Off-pavement capable, too.
Just broken in, all the right upgrades, better than new, etc, one owner, clean bike, never dropped, no garage tip-overs, title in hand, and so forth ... needs nothing, ready to ride ...
Any interest? NESR pricing available ... I will post it here on NESR For Sale before going to FB, probably around $10,200. Here's a pic with the Madstad screen, before I installed the center stand and engine guards.

And don't believe everything you think.
Thanks.
No doubt you mean "tall" not talk. How tall is tall. I'm more like 5'9" 30" inseam. If I sit way forward, I can make some light contact with the valve covers. There are lower footpegs out there aftermarket.
Heat: on very hot days at low speeds I can feel the heat rising off the cat con, not surprising IMO. I never noticed a problem from the cylinders, though. A popular mod is to install a Y-pipe and eliminate the cat con -- many options out there, starting a little over $100 from AliExpress to $500 more or less. The AliExpress item actually gets some good reviews.
Maybe check with DucDave via PM ... taller than me as I recall ... he has one and posts about being very happy with it.
Another approach is to join and post questions on a forum like GuzziTech

... better yet, this FB page -- which is very active and has good discussions:

better parking solution on a shitty soft surface.
I've been lookin around for a decent deal on a GS Adventure, but those are super rare to come by. Plus I'm Joe Rogan sized, so a super tall bike like that would be awkward to ride in stop and go traffic.
I suppose a regular old GS would work too.
Or a KTM 1290 SA. Those are chain drive, but all kinds of hot. Ideally shaft though.
