Dude this is fresh. Congrats.
I'll make you a copy of my Kenny Loggins cassette. I just need to find another stereo to play it while I simultaneously hit record on my stereo. Also need to find a blank cassette.
You can still find Maxell MX-S and Sony Super Metal Master tapes on ebay. They may be overkill for a bike radio though.
I hope you christened that boat right and proper, you know, Caddy Shack style.
Off road that bitch!
Went out with a buddy tonight to get more iced creams. Surprised him with it at the meet up spot. Hilarity ensued.

One nearly epic tankslapper down, how many more to go until I replace the steering head bearings?
First time in my life where the oncoming SUV was more scared than I was.
Wow!
I had one of those for two years. It was given to me for free because the owner didn't feel like hauling that ugly piece of shit to Florida when they moved. Mine was an 84 that had the dreaded stator issue. Someone smarter and more dedicated fixed it when I got rid of it.
I replaced the speakers with some waterproof ones that fucking rocked. The stereo would blow any Harley radio out of the water.
Aside from the vanity mirror, and fitting two full size full face helmets in the trunk, I think my favorite little storage quirk was the little stash tray the flips up near the gas filler.
Be super careful if you do any work to the on board compressor. I broke a line when I removed the front fairing and it was next to impossible to find a replacement even on fleabay.
Also on the left side battery cover, the stator wires are known to rub on the frame and wear themselves down and short out. Might want to just give them a visual inspection as well as the yellow connector.
PO hacked up doing the yellow connector delete, there were 5 splices of varying degree of fuckery on it. Removed all of them and put some fresh cable in with good solder joints and fresh heat shrink, then wrapped in wire loom.
so...it's a comfortable commuter...great for long rides/touring...cheap...and ugly
it could replace a vstrom
hmm

Clutch reservoir. Consistency of sour cream under that thin layer of fluid. Yum.
All fluids are getting flushed proper.
Dat's a big bitch!
Time to update the sig file
Flushed both front calipers, clutch fluid, changed the final drive oil. Fixed the clock, cleaned up the tone dial and installed some nice Polk speakers in the stock location I had kickin around from my old '85 Accord in college. Snuggled up the loose downward facing tailpipes. It's coming together!
Oh you'd like that now wouldn't you. Ever since that night at the OG, I knew you were into the heavies.
I have a real soft spot for 80's wings with lots of dumb lights
And breadsticks.
