Sticker removal on a gas tank?>>??

Hey all, Can anyone help me out on what to use to remove the factory Helmet warning sticker on my gas tank?? I'm trying to find something strong enough to remove the adhesive residue without harming the paint. SO far I've been told to use a hairdryer/ googone/ and 3m AGeneral purpose cleaner. Please throw me a line, Thanks

pour a little gasoline on it... just a gallon or so... and set it on fire.

WD40 and a clean rag works wonders!

Peel the sticker off as best you can, then use a rag and goo-gone to remove the residue from the adhesive.

As already said wd40 or goo gone should get any of the nasties left over from peeling the sticker.

A hairdryer at a distance will let you peel the sticker with minumum goop left behind.

I used goo gone (can get it at walmart) some people on other boards pissed and moaned about the citrus in it harming paint. Meh, wash the bike after..problem solved.

    NICE!!

found the perfect way without alot of elbow grease.
For the Gas tank sticker(helmet warning): I used a hair dryer and slowly peeled back a little at a time using my thumb to smear the goo in the direction of the peel. Next : a few shots of honda polish and its all good..

we used a hair dryer and then cleaned the glue off the painted surfaces w/ crc brakleen. just sprayed it on the rag(a non-scratching micro-cloth) and wiped the glue right off. then gave the whole bike a quick wipedown with honda polish. worked excellent.

I been stockpiling that shit for months. Now it actually comes with a warning label that MA will soon stop selling it.

BTW, I use lighter fluid to get the duct tape off my bike after trackdays/ Works on all sticker glue.

DONT use goof off on light lenses, it will burn them and turn them into a white gooey mess!

Get a pencil tipped propane torch, and use a gasket scraper.
